The Black God’s Drums

The Black God’s Drums is a masterwork of world-building and alternate history, giving us a vivid portrayal of a New Orleans that stands free amidst warring nations. The story is filled with the magic of gods and goddesses, and industrial-age contraptions that lend an air of wonder to the city. I loved every minute of this book and hope we’ll get to see more of Creeper and Captain Ann-Marie.

Static Ruin takes us to the end of the Mars Xi trilogy, complete with explosions, betrayals and a startling realization that changes everything we know about our main character.
Exit Strategy is a fitting end to the marvelous Murderbot Diaries, giving a final huzzah to a character I’ve grown to love over the past year. The fourth addition to the series concludes the journey our favorite bot set out on, complete with moments of peril, fear, and feels.
