- Review the books I loved reading.
It’s as simple as that. Anything I don’t like isn’t mentioned on Realms & Robots. There’s enough negativity out there and I believe that it isn’t worth touting my indifference toward a book or an author. If I don’t like it, somebody else will. I remain in awe of anybody able to put their stories onto a page, no matter whether I personally love it or not.
It’s important to note that a book not appearing on my site doesn’t mean I didn’t like it. It means I have limited time and there are tons of things I like to do in my spare time. I tend toward shorter books under 200 pages, and anything above 300 pages typically won’t be reviewed unless it’s from an author I’ve already read or the premise is just too enticing. More power to those of you who revel in 600 page epics – that’s just not my cup of tea.
Are you accepting review solicitations?
I don’t accept review solicitations any more. It’s nothing against you, I just like to pick and choose what I’m going to read based on the moment. Planning ahead hasn’t worked great for me in the past. Good luck to those of you promoting books – you can do it!
Hey, didn’t you used to have another name?
Realms & Robots is our new blog name as of August 2019. We used to go by Reviews & Robots. We made the decision to change the name to better reflect our focus on science fiction AND fantasy.

Do you review Advanced Reader Copies?
I review advanced reader copies through NetGalley. Reviews of ARC copies are marked with a disclaimer. I’m here to provide my honest review of stories that I love, and if it’s not something I’m excited about, then it won’t be reviewed on the blog.
